Al's Opinions

The Republican budget that Representative Paul Ryan has introduced in the House of Representatives seems to be based on two beliefs: (1) Greed is good and virtuous; (2) Poverty is a crime.  His budget rewards the greedy, especially the very rich, by not changing their tax rates.  Instead, he achieves savings by reducing the funding of government programs that provide help to poor and middle class people.  The poor are punished for being poor.  The rich (and greedy) are rewarded for their virtue.
